France has a passion for cinema and particularly for American film making. Since 1975, the resort town of Deauville on the Normandy Cote Fleurie plays host to a week long festival entirely devoted to American films. This year , the 39th edition will run from August 30th to September 8. The general public will rub elbows with bonafide Hollywood stars who come to present their films. This year Michael Douglas, Cate Blanchette, John Travolta, Nicholas Cage, Jamie Fox will be present. Reminiscent of the stars on Hollywood boulevard, the boardwark of Deauville honor the names of American film greats.
